In 2023, a much larger Toei property made a reappearance, while Super Sentai returned to the S.H. Figuarts line in 2022. One Piece resurfaced in the field after a 13-year hiatus. Even though the series only saw a few releases in 2010, Bandai Tamashii Nations appeared to have much bigger plans this time around, launching things in a style that was strikingly similar to many of their other well-known ranges. S.H. Figuarts Monkey D. Luffy -The Raid on Onigashima-, the first title in this new line of contemporary One Piece releases, is based on the character's appearance in the most recent Wano arc.
