The MAX30101 breakout is an advanced smoke/particle, oximeter, and heart rate sensor. You can use it to make LEDs or lights pulse in time with your heartbeat or as a fun way to see your heartbeat. <3 It works with both Arduino and Raspberry Pi. To measure the amount of light reflected back to the sensor, this sensor combines three LEDs (green, red, and infra-red) with photodetectors. When the sensor is placed against your fingertip, a method known as photoplethysmography (PPG) can be used to identify how your skin changes color with each heartbeat. By measuring the amount of light that the airborne particles, such as smoke, bounce back to the sensor, the MAX30101 can be used to detect them. We possess
